006 COMPARING SKEINFORGE AND SLIC3R

A second print was made of the organic model using Slic3r. The intent is to observe any anomalies between Slic3r and the  Skeinforge print run [005] . The default settings of Slic3r were kept, in which sets an infill setting of 40%. This is generally too much. 15% is a more efficient setting.

 

The support was kept at the default setting automatic.  This was not a good setting. It should have been specified with at least a 40 degree angle for this model to print well. There were areas where the support was inadequate and the model sustained some distortion.
